Qualiano – Another blow to the Mallardo clan's economy. The Carabinieri of the Castello di Cisterna Investigative Unit have carried out a precautionary seizure of a property valued at €200, located at Via Luigi Pirandello 1 in Qualiano.
The operation, which is part of a broader effort to combat Camorra power in the Neapolitan hinterland, was launched following complex investigations coordinated by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office.
According to investigators, the building was fully owned by a prominent member of the criminal organization, historically rooted in Giugliano in Campania and numerous towns in the northern area of the province of Naples.
The military's action, authorized by the Naples Court – Section for the Application of Preventive Measures – aims to directly target the assets, believed to be of illicit origin, on which the criminal group's economic strength is based.
The precautionary measure, issued as part of a proceeding aimed at preventing the reinvestment of capital of dubious origin, underscores the law enforcement strategy: not just arrests, but also a systematic effort to erode the clans' financial base.
The seizure of real estate, like the one in Qualiano, represents a symbolic and concrete blow, aimed at severing the ties between organized crime and the local area, depriving it of the resources that fuel its power and influence.
