Naples – Roberto Fico's bid for the presidency of the Campania Region has officially begun. This morning, at the Hotel Mediterraneo in Naples, the former Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies presented the civic list "Fico Presidente," which will support him in the upcoming regional elections within the center-left coalition.
The leaders in the five provinces
During the meeting, the names of the provincial leaders were announced:
Giovanni Russo in Naples,
Alfonso Annunziata in Salerno,
Virginia Anna Crovella in Caserta,
Maria Laura Amendola in Avellino,
Francesco Fiorillo in Benevento.
The symbol chosen for the list—a blue background, the word "Fico" in yellow, and the outline of Campania in white—was the focus of the presentation. "This symbol represents my journey and that of many others," Fico explained, "a political and human journey made of commitment to the local communities, to cooperatives, to courageous entrepreneurs, and to all those who have fought for legality and the growth of our region."
Code of ethics and "limits" against unpresentable people
During the meeting, Fico also addressed the issue of the code of ethics for candidate selection, emphasizing his desire to ensure transparency and rigor:
“We are still analyzing some cases,” he said, “but an important result has already been achieved: thanks to clear criteria, some people have chosen to step aside on their own.

“Dialogue is the key to everything”
There was no shortage of references to Fico's relationship with outgoing governor Vincenzo De Luca, with whom he had a clarifying meeting in recent days after weeks of tension.
"Dialogue must be the constant throughout," he stated. "Nothing can be built without dialogue, and when there's a lack of consensus, we miss the opportunity for improvement. I won't respond to attacks, from either the right or the left: my goal is to look to the future of Campania."
Fico reclaimed the institutional style that had matured during his Roman years:
"From my experience in the Chamber, I take with me the importance of institutional loyalty. Problems can only be resolved through discussion, not through divisions or affiliations. Institutions must be a point of reference for everyone, regardless of political affiliation."
The slogans and the government's vision
Fico's electoral campaign will revolve around four slogans:
“Every business matters,” “Every person matters,” “Every right matters,” “Every territory matters.”
"Institutions," he explained, "must be able to reconcile diverse interests, finding a balance that puts people and jobs at the center. Our project represents a Campania that serves its citizens, through politics and not above it."
With the presentation of the "Fico Presidente" list, the former Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies takes a decisive step in building a broad coalition in Campania, attempting to unite the center-left in an electoral battle that promises to be one of the most delicate in recent years.

It's interesting to see how Roberto Fico presents himself in the regional elections. The civic list "Fico Presidente" appears to have good intentions, but it's important to see whether his proposal is concrete and not just slogans.
