San Vitaliano – Yet another workplace tragedy in Campania. This morning, the community of San Vitaliano was shocked by a tragic, fatal accident at a construction site on Via Ponte delle Tavole.
The victim is a 68-year-old businessman and owner of a business. According to preliminary investigations, the man was in the area of the construction site, currently active inside a gas station, Energy Power, which also overlooks Via 40 Moggia, to carry out an inspection.
For reasons still under investigation, the 68-year-old apparently lost his balance and fell from a considerable height, estimated at over seven meters.

The alarm was raised immediately. Carabinieri patrols from the local San Vitaliano station and the Mobile Radio Unit of the Castello di Cisterna company, along with emergency medical services from 118, converged on the scene.
Unfortunately, by the time medical personnel arrived, there was nothing more that could be done for the businessman: the paramedics could only pronounce him dead instantly.
The construction site area has been sealed off to allow for investigations. The Carabinieri have launched an investigation, coordinated by the competent prosecutor's office, to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the incident. It is now necessary to determine whether the man tripped, suffered a sudden illness, or whether the fall was caused by a structural failure or the lack of adequate safety measures on the site.
