He's 53 years old, has no criminal record, and until a few weeks ago, he was leading a normal life. Then he was fired, the economic crisis hit, and a desperate decision was made: to turn to drug dealing to survive. This is the story of a man of Castellammare di Stabia, arrested last night in Sant'Agnello by the Carabinieri of the local station.
The man was spotted in Piazza Matteotti, in front of the Circumvesuviana stop.

Before the Carabinieri, the man immediately confessed. He said he had been fired about a month ago and didn't know how to continue. He admitted that he only wanted to "make some money" out of that small illegal business. He is now under house arrest and faces charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

It's a very complicated situation, but I think it's important to understand the reasons that lead someone to make such drastic decisions. The economic crisis affects everyone, and finding stable work isn't easy.
