Naples – State Police checks continue nonstop in the Scampia neighborhood, as part of the extraordinary operations ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug dealing.
Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue arrested a 24-year-old Neapolitan man, already known to law enforcement for previous criminal convictions, including specific ones.
During a territory control operation, the police officers, passing along Via Don Lorenzo Milani, noticed the young man standing on the sidewalk with a suspicious attitude, intent on constantly looking around.

A driver approached the 24-year-old, who took something from a cavity in the wall and handed it to the driver in exchange for a banknote. It was at that point that officers intervened to stop the drug deal.
The young man was stopped and found in possession of €195 in cash, divided into small bills, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. In the hiding place created in the wall, the police recovered five small bags of marijuana, weighing approximately 7,5 grams.
The buyer, however, managed to escape without a trace.
The 24-year-old was arrested and taken to the Naples Police Headquarters, pending a decision by the judicial authorities.
