The battle for workplace safety is taking place at the Government Palace in Naples. Yesterday morning, Prefect Michele di Bari convened a new summit dedicated to the issue, bringing together representatives of the Local Health Authorities Naples 1 Centro, Napoli 2 North and Napoli 3 Sud, INAIL, the Metropolitan Area Inspectorate, the Industrial Union, ACEN, the Provincial Building Fund, Formedil, and the main trade union organizations.
The meeting reviewed the results achieved by the joint inspections promoted by the Prefecture in recent months, which saw the collaboration of all supervisory bodies—Local Health Authority, National Institute for Social Security (INPS), National Institute for Insurance against Accidents and Prevention (INAIL), and the Inspectorate—to ensure a more widespread presence in the workplace.

But the Prefecture has no intention of slowing down. It has, in fact, decided to further increase the number of inspections, with a new round of joint inspections starting in November. At the same time, the importance of ongoing training for accident prevention has been reiterated, an aspect on which the Industrialists' Union, Formedil, ACEN, and the trade unions have pledged their full commitment and cooperation.
