Sorrento – An ordinary evening turned into a dramatic public order operation for the Carabinieri of the Sorrento Company.
A young man, enraged by the end of a relationship, was arrested after violently attacking officers who responded to his ex-partner's call for help.
The siege at the ex's house and the cry for help
The incident took place last night in an apartment. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, was forced to call 112 because her ex, a 24-year-old with no criminal record, had not accepted the end of their relationship.
The man had positioned himself outside the house, creating a veritable siege and effectively preventing her from leaving.

when the Carabinieri They arrived on the scene, and the situation escalated. Instead of giving up, the 24-year-old took his frustration out on the officers, physically assaulting them.
The operation to sedate the man was so hectic that the support of 118 personnel was necessary. Only after the paramedics arrived was the attacker subdued.
The Carabinieri suffered immediate consequences from the attack: the two officers who intervened suffered injuries that led to a seven-day prognosis each. One was wounded in the hand, the other in the shoulder.
After the formal procedures were completed, the 24-year-old was arrested on serious charges of domestic violence, resisting arrest, assault, and assault on a public official. The incident, involving a man with no criminal record, once again raises awareness of the dangers of managing broken relationships and domestic violence, even when there is no prior criminal history.
