Casalnuovo – There were moments of fear last night on Viale dei Pini in Casalnuovo, where several shots were fired at a building and a car parked along the street.
According to an initial reconstruction, three bullets struck the veranda of a house, while four others lodged in the bodywork of a parked Fiat Punto.
Fortunately, no one was injured, but the incident caused great alarm among residents, who immediately alerted the police after hearing the burst of gunfire.
Carabinieri from the Casalnuovo branch responded to the scene, along with soldiers from the Castello di Cisterna operations unit, who immediately cordoned off the area and began ballistic surveys.

Investigators have found several spent cartridges, the caliber of which is still being ascertained, while technical tests continue to determine the type of weapon used.
Investigations are now underway to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident and identify the origin of the gesture, which could be linked to a warning or to settling scores in the local criminal underworld, but at the moment no leads have been excluded.
Investigators are also analyzing footage from surveillance cameras in the area and interviewing several witnesses who reportedly noticed suspicious movements shortly before the shooting.
Tensions remain high in Casalnuovo, where several incidents involving predatory crimes and intimidation have occurred in recent months. Last night's incident, which so far has not resulted in any injuries, brings renewed attention to the issue of safety in the city's most populous neighborhoods.
