Naples - The serious escalation of stalking and threats has been decisively halted thanks to the swift intervention of the State Police.

On Friday, officers from the Secondigliano Police Station executed a precautionary detention order issued by the Naples Preliminary Investigations Judge (GIP) at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, Vulnerable Groups Section, putting an end to the terror experienced by a woman.

The man was arrested for stalking. The precautionary measure comes in response to a series of repeated and alarming unlawful acts that seriously jeopardized the victim's physical and, above all, psychological safety.

The woman, exasperated and terrified, filed several complaints with the Secondigliano police, describing a suffocating pattern of harassment. The situation was already extremely serious, considering that the suspect was already under special surveillance and was under a 500-meter restraining order against his ex-partner.

The suspect allegedly deliberately and repeatedly violated the ban imposed by the Judicial Authority, demonstrating total disregard for the law and posing a very high risk to society.

Each violation represented a further step towards potential tragedy, turning the victim's existence into a constant nightmare.

The restrictive prison order was implemented under the "Red Code," a law that provides fast-track investigations into domestic and gender-based violence.

This is where the absolute importance of the intervention of law enforcement and the judiciary comes to the fore. The timely coordination between the Naples Prosecutor's Office and investigators at the Secondigliano Police Station was crucial. The thorough and rapid investigation gathered sufficient evidence to demonstrate the man's extreme dangerousness, convincing the investigating judge of the need for immediate detention.

"Only thanks to the swift action of the Judicial Authority, in synergy with the investigative work of the Secondigliano officers, was it possible to break the vicious cycle of violence and safeguard the victim's safety," a statement from the Naples Police Headquarters states.

While investigations continue to reconstruct every detail and dynamic of the previous events, the man's arrest represents a strong statement from the State against stalking, finally providing some peace and security for the woman involved.
