Behind a seemingly ordinary TikTok profile, a jihadist propaganda network was hiding. A 33-year-old man of Tunisian origins and a resident of Sicignano degli Alburni, in the Salerno area, was arrested and placed under house arrest with an electronic bracelet on charges of incitement to crime and advocating terrorism.
Investigators discovered over two hundred videos posted by the man on social media, in which he extolled the Jihad Islam, the Islamic State, and its leaders. Bloody images, hate speech against Christians and "infidels," and messages calling for the sacrifice of so-called martyrs. The content, shared hundreds of times, had garnered thousands of views, fueling a steady stream of extremist propaganda.
The investigation was launched by the Postal and Cybersecurity Police of Ancona, who identified the account linked to the suspect.

According to the Prosecutor's Office SalernoThe 33-year-old not only adhered to jihadist principles but also systematically and deliberately waged a veritable online campaign of terrorism apology. What struck investigators was the stubbornness with which he continued to spread hate messages even after a search in October 2024, as if nothing had happened.
Investigators call his activity "a real alarm," not only because of the content shared but also because of his ability to attract a large following. The man, now under house arrest, is under constant surveillance pending the next judicial decisions.
