Telese - A freedom that lasted the space of a day, celebrated with a pompous party and documented too lightly on social media, which cost him an immediate return to prison.
Now, however, the Naples Court of Review has ruled: Vincenzo De Rosa, 41, a well-known criminal from Telese Terme linked to the local Roma criminal gang, has been released from prison and placed under house arrest.
The social blitz and the revocation of house arrest
The affair, which had caused a stir in the Telesina Valley, dates back to when De Rosa, detained on serious charges related to a large-scale cocaine trafficking operation that allegedly involved the family clan, had obtained his first release under house arrest.
His "new freedom" had, however, been celebrated in a sensational and imprudent way.

Here's how the Musella group from Casoria flooded Sannio and Irpinia with cocaine.
The Carabinieri of Cerreto Sannita launched their investigations precisely because of the viral videos. They identified the 41-year-old among the guests: De Rosa, under house arrest, was not allowed to meet with unauthorized persons. The party not only represented a blatant violation of the precautionary measures, but also appeared to be a genuine challenge to the judicial authorities.
The consequence was immediate: the 41-year-old was arrested again and taken back to prison on charges of escape.
The turning point of the preliminary investigation: the defensive theses prevail
Days later, the defendant's lawyers, Vittorio Fucci and Antonio Leone, filed an appeal with the Naples Review Court. Their defense, likely focused on reconsidering the seriousness of the violation in light of the evidence gathered, was upheld by the Campania judges.
Today's decision therefore overturns the immediate return to prison, once again granting Vincenzo De Rosa the less punitive measure of house arrest. The well-known Telese Terme offender will thus return home, where he will have to strictly adhere to the precautionary measures, safe in the knowledge that, this time, every move—even his TikTok—will be monitored with the utmost care.
