Napoli's Champions League trip to Eindhoven has become a case of rights and dignity. One hundred and eighty Napoli fans, heading toward the city center on the eve of the match, were stopped by Dutch police, subjected to checks, and held for hours. Some of them, as photos circulating on social media show, had numbers written on their skin: a gesture that sparked outrage and disturbing historical comparisons.
The incident was reported by lawyer Emilio Coppola, who is assisting some of the arrested supporters.

The tone is harsh and reflects the widespread sentiment among Neapolitan supporters, who denounce discriminatory treatment and repressive security during away matches in Europe. “We make enormous sacrifices to follow the team – continues the message from the fan of Napoli - But we're treated like criminals. This isn't Europe; it's a dangerous drift."
The incident sparked a wave of reactions on social media and is now opening a legal front. The fans' lawyers are evaluating the appropriate course of action, while calls are growing for official intervention by the Italian authorities to clarify the circumstances of the arrest and the conduct of the Dutch police. For many, what happened in Eindhoven is not just a matter of football, but of dignity. "Napoli she will never accept being humiliated like this", concludes lawyer Coppola.
