A two-day silence, then fear and a race against time. It was the timely intervention of the Carabinieri of Valle di Maddaloni to save the life of a seventy year old struck by an illness in his home. The alarm was raised yesterday afternoon by the man's son, a 37-year-old resident of Sorrento, who had been trying in vain to contact his father for hours.
Concerned by the lack of answers, the young man decided to turn to the Carabinieri Station of the Caserta municipality, asking to verify the parent's conditions.

Once inside, they found themselves faced with a dramatic scene: the man was unconscious on the bed, but still alive. Without wasting time, the police alerted the 118, who intervened immediately.
