Naples - A family vendetta, a settling of scores born from a pornographic video, a night of fire in the densest and most difficult alleys of Naples.
In the Spanish Quarter, between Via Conte di Mola and Montecalvario, a double armed attack in typical Camorra style took place on September 15th: two ambushes within an hour, one seriously injured, and four people arrested—including two minors, one of whom was the son of the boss who allegedly ordered the punitive expedition.
Behind the shooting lies a story steeped in the bittersweet taste of private revenge and violated honor: it all began with a sex tape filmed by IC (who will soon turn 18) with his ex-girlfriend, the daughter of the very boss who ordered the punishment.
The Night of Blood
It's the dawn of September 15th, the streets of the Quartieri They're still half-deserted. A black Smart Forfour drives down Via Conte di Mola: inside are IC, the real target, and Umberto Catanzaro, a young soccer player. Three masked men emerge from the darkness, their faces covered by black balaclavas, with hooked noses and dark eyes. They wear black waterproof jackets and running sneakers.
A few seconds later, all hell breaks loose: gunshots, shattered glass, screams. But the killers' aim betrays them: Casola manages to escape, while Catanzaro is hit and lies on the ground, seriously injured. The commando disappears into the alleys, leaving behind a carpet of bullet casings and blood. The young footballer, despite his serious injuries, manages to reach his father-in-law's house, who lives nearby, and is taken to the hospital.
Immediate revenge
Having just escaped the attack, IC, who appears to be a bully on social media and wears large gold chains around his neck, doesn't call the police. He does what is legal in the street: he arms himself and goes seeking revenge.
At 5:22 a.m., just over an hour later, another neighborhood—Montecalvario—became the scene of the second clash. IC entered a tenement building where the girlfriend of an associate of the alleged boss who ordered the first raid lived.
He opens fire: he hits L in the legs.

The Carabinieri investigation
The case, since dawn, ends up on the table of Carabinieri of the Compagnia Napoli Centro, who reconstruct the entire story thanks to wiretaps, testimonies, and neighborhood secrets.
The contribution of a university student awakened by the gunshots of the first ambush was crucial.
Investigators uncover the background: behind the first raid was a 46-year-old man linked to the Mazzarella clan, backed by a 23-year-old woman (AN), accused of providing logistical support and cover to the commando, offering a B&B as a shelter to dispose of the weapons and jackets used in the ambush.
The two minors, including the son of the boss who ordered the attack, who arrived at the scene of the shooting a few minutes late, and the IC himself, who was the real target of the ambush, ended up in jail with them.
A young Camorra growing up in the alleys
The picture that emerged from the investigation depicts a young, angry, technologically advanced Camorra, where the line between private vengeance and criminal dynamics is increasingly blurred.
It's no coincidence that one of the minors involved was already known to the news: years ago, he was responsible for the theft of the Christmas tree in Galleria Umberto, an incident that made headlines in the media. From childish prank to bloodshed in the alleys: the dark story of a generation raised on the cult of weapons and criminal respect.
Two ambushes in less than two hours, weapons, masks, revenge and a hardcore video as the spark.
A story that tragically sums up the contradictions of the Spanish Quarter: a place where life and death intersect in a narrow alley, and where wounded honor can still cost a bullet.
