It's a situation that raises questions about how problematic university environments can sometimes be. If the accusations are true, institutions should be more vigilant in protecting students and ensuring a fair educational path.
Unfortunately, these situations are much more common than one might think and are part of a real system based on baronial and blackmailing logic.
Residents are forced to make the best of a bad situation, because it is impossible for a young doctor to find secure and regular employment opportunities outside of specialist schools.
I believe that the postgraduate medical training system should be rethought, as it has now been reduced to a lobbying and purely bureaucratic system.
