Naples – Three robberies and one attempted robbery, all within a few hours, on the same night. This wave of violence has alarmed the Vomero neighborhood, where a sixteen-year-old Georgian boy, already known to law enforcement, has been taken into custody by officers from the local police station. The minor is seriously suspected of aggravated robbery, receiving stolen goods, and attempted robbery.
According to the State Police's reconstruction, the young man, together with an accomplice who is still wanted, carried out three robberies between last Friday and Saturday, traveling on a scooter and striking in various streets of the hilly neighborhood.
The first incident occurred on Via Guido De Ruggiero, in front of a 24-hour vending machine: two young men were approached by criminals who, under threat of a knife, forced them to hand over their cell phones.
Shortly thereafter, on Via Belvedere, a 20-year-old Neapolitan man was stopped and robbed: this time the two robbers reportedly showed a gun, demanding the victim hand over his cell phone and €200 in cash.

The investigation, launched immediately by officers from the Vomero Police Station, allowed them to reconstruct the sequence of the raids thanks to surveillance cameras in the area. The images allowed them to identify the 16-year-old, recognized as one of the two perpetrators of the robberies.
During the investigation, a fourth incident also emerged: an attempted scooter robbery that occurred the same night, which investigators believe could be traced back to the same young man.
The young robber was taken to the Colli Aminei reception center, pending a hearing before the Juvenile Court. The investigation to identify his accomplice continues.
Investigators are reporting a new threat of juvenile gangs in the city: young people are increasingly involved in violent crime, capable of moving from one robbery to the next with coolness and method. This signal confirms that juvenile petty crime is once again becoming a major problem in Naples' upper-class neighborhoods.
