Pozzuoli – Moments of fear erupted this morning on Via Cicerone in Pozzuoli, where a 52-year-old man was shot. The man, already known to law enforcement, was struck in the legs by bullets fired by a still unknown assailant.
Rescued and rushed to the Santa Maria delle Grazie Hospital in Pozzuoli, the 52-year-old was admitted pending a prognosis. His condition is not considered particularly concerning: his life is not in danger.
The Carabinieri responded to the scene of the attack, began investigations and collected initial testimonies to reconstruct the events. At this time, no leads have been ruled out: investigators are trying to determine whether the attack was related to personal matters, criminal disputes, or a warning.
The normally quiet area was cordoned off to allow ballistics tests and the collection of any evidence that might help identify the perpetrator or the escape vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
