Five kilos of hashish hidden in a car, ready to flood the local market. This is what the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile section of the Avellino Company, who arrested in flagrante a 41 year old local man, already known to the police, on charges of possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances.
The arrest occurred over the weekend, during a routine patrol. A patrol from the Mobile Radio Unit noticed the man driving a car that was moving suspiciously. His nervous behavior and some unusual maneuvers prompted the officers to intervene.
The subsequent search confirmed the suspicions: in the vehicle, carefully hidden, were found 5 kilograms of hashish, divided into 100 gram loaves each, in addition to 470 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. All the material was seized. The man, who had already been reported in the past for similar crimes, was once again taken to prison: he was taken to Bellizzi Irpino, where it remains at the disposal of the judicial authority.
