Casavatore - A car parked with its engine running on a street in the center of Casavatore attracted the attention of the Carabinieri of the Arzano station. What appeared to be a traffic anomaly quickly turned into one of the most significant drug seizures of the year in the Naples area.
On board the Lancia Y, parked on Via Francesco Caracciolo, the officers noticed five large bags stowed in the passenger compartment. Once opened, they discovered hundreds of blocks of hashish, weighing over 110 kilograms, ready to be placed on the market.
The car was found to be abandoned, and the seizure was formally filed against unknown persons. Investigations are continuing to identify those responsible for the trafficking and trace the drug's supply chain, which was likely destined for distribution in the northern Naples area.
Now they are looking for the owner of the car
This discovery confirms the intensification of local controls and the constant vigilance of law enforcement against local drug trafficking.
The investigation is aimed at tracking down the owner of the car and who was driving it, and above all, at understanding which clans were the recipients of the huge haul, which would certainly have been placed in the months leading up to the Christmas holidays.
But also the origin of the customs and who had purchased it with the classic "instalment" system, that is, the division of the cargo among multiple recipients, each with a different quantity depending on the sum committed for the purchase.
