Naples - The seismic swarm keeping the Campi Flegrei area on high alert continues unabated. At 19:57 PM this Saturday, November 15th, a new magnitude 2.0 tremor jolted residents, rekindling the now constant concern in the Phlegraean Fields area.
The earthquake was clearly felt by the population, particularly between Pozzuoli and the Neapolitan district of Bagnoli, with its epicenter located at sea.
Immediately after the event, social media was flooded with reports and accounts from those who clearly felt the tremor. Fortunately, there have been no reports of damage to people or property at this time.
The evening event wasn't the only one that marked the day. The caldera area had already shaken at first light: seismographs recorded a magnitude 2.1 earthquake at precisely 6:47 a.m.
The double seismic event in less than 24 hours (2.1 at dawn and 2.0 in the evening) confirms the intensification of bradyseismic activity and fuels the debate on the safety and preparedness of the population in one of the most geologically active areas of the Mediterranean.
But both at first light and during the morning, other tremors of magnitude less than 2.0 had been recorded.
