Ischia - A six-month prison sentence and suspended sentence. This was the outcome of the summary hearing before the Naples Criminal Court, Dr. Eliana Albanese, for CB, who was tried for refusing to provide information about his identity, resisting a public official, and assault.
The events date back to May 2024, when the 20-year-old was stopped by the Ischia Carabinieri following a tip-off. After refusing to provide his personal details, the young man got into a fight with the officers, attempting to take their gun and attacking them.
Following the fast-track trial, a request was made for the case to be resolved using the abbreviated procedure.
In his closing argument, the prosecutor had requested a prison sentence of one year and two years; following the arguments of lawyer Massimo Viscusi, the 9th Criminal Section sentenced the young man to the minimum suspended sentence.
