Arzano – Land of Fires: The Arzano case has been addressed by the Sole Commissioner for Illegal Landfills, Brigadier General of the Carabinieri, Giuseppe Vadalà, the Naples Prosecutor Nicola Gratteri, and the judicial police.
With a dossier sent to two public prosecutors' offices and, as appropriate, to the bodies responsible for environmental and public safety inspections, the Commissioner, given the current state of some of the areas submerged in the Arzano area since 2019, will begin a series of inspections in the coming days aimed at combating eco-mafia and identifying potential responsibilities regarding inspections and reporting.
The top-secret dossier would address several high-risk areas that have not been remediated or remediated after years of uncontrolled and illegal dumping of all kinds of waste, making the Arzano area the capital of the so-called Land of Fires. This is an important signal that many have been waiting for for years, and a signal of concern for the region in particular.
The General has already expressed great concern in other situations, thanking in particular the many citizens who collaborate to ensure that the commissioner's work is not undermined. This is a case that could have significant legal implications.
