The night on Mount Terminio turned into a long, complex rescue operation, marked by harsh conditions. Three climbers, trapped on the slope near the Matrunolo valley after three abseils, were rescued at dawn by the Campania Alpine and Speleological Rescue Team. The group, in difficulty and unable to continue, raised the alarm using the GeoResq app, which allowed for precise geolocation and immediate activation of the National Research Council (CNSAS).
Two teams of technicians moved towards Campolaspierto, where the base camp was set up.

The solution was to bring two mixed teams from the CNSAS (National Center for Mountain Rescue) and the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Financial Police) Alpine Rescue team to the summit, one by helicopter and one by land. This second attempt was also postponed due to further deterioration in the weather, making it inevitable to wait for first light.
At dawn, one of the teams managed to reach the summit and intercept the three climbers, who fortunately had no health problems. After securing them, the rescue operations concluded with their return to base camp. The firefighters and Carabinieri from the Serino station also participated in the rescue, coordinating their efforts in a coordinated effort that prevented a night of fear from turning into tragedy.
