Tomorrow, Friday, November 14, 2025, around 5:30 p.m., at Via Ferrante Imparato 114, in San Giovanni a Teduccio, at the headquarters of the Figli in famiglia association (by Carmela Manco), we will present the book 'Gli infami del passato', which I co-wrote with Domenico Bilotti (professor of ecclesiastical law at the Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro).
The event will be an opportunity to discuss marginalization, conscience, and rebellion, with Margherita Di Giglio (Supervisory Magistrate of the Juvenile Court of Naples), Vincenzo Rapone (Professor of Philosophy of Law at the Federico II University of Naples), and Alessandro Gargiulo (Lawyer, National Vice President of the Movimento Forense). Journalist Giuseppe Manzo will open the proceedings.
The book's goal is to dissect the connection between poverty and social control, addressing a contemporary issue. It's sadly well known that prison is considered a panacea for all ills. A karmic notion that must be shattered without giving history even a second more leeway.
Proceeds from the sale of the books will be donated to Figli in Famiglia, to support their fight against the cultural degradation and social disorientation that the eastern part of Naples has been experiencing for years.
We meet in the fray, to talk and contradict each other, without formality and with serenity.

The event looks interesting, but I'm not sure I'll go. The book's theme is important, but the title doesn't really resonate with me. I'd like to know more about the authors and their approach to the subject.
