NAPLES – A morning of genuine emotion, smiles, and hugs. Napoli players visited the young patients in the Pediatrics ward at the Federico II University Hospital, transforming the hospital wards into a mini-Azzurri stadium for a few hours. Juan Jesus, David Neres, Luca Marianucci, Nikita Contini, and Antonio Vergara met with the hospitalized children, bringing with them the lightheartedness of the game and the affection of the entire team.
Between selfies, autographs, and laughter, the young patients experienced a moment of pure joy, momentarily forgetting the difficulties of the disease. But the meeting was also an opportunity for sharing: the children thanked their heroes with two paintings created during a creative workshop organized especially for the occasion.
“It was a wonderful gift that the Societa Sportiva Calcio Napoli wanted to do for our children and for the entire hospital community – declared the general director Elvira Bianco – The presence of the footballers brought a genuine smile and a concrete message of closeness to our little patients”.
The initiative, born from a collaboration between the Azzurri club and the Federico II Polyclinic, is an example of how sport can transcend the pitch, becoming a vehicle for solidarity, inclusion, and hope. A heartfelt goal that will remain etched in the memories of the children, their families, and the healthcare workers who support them every day in their treatment journey.

It's a wonderful initiative by the Napoli players who visited the children in the hospital. However, I think they should do more often to support those in need, not just once a year.
