Naples – The first institutional meeting between the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, and the newly elected President of the Campania Region, Roberto Fico, took place this morning at the Palazzo di Governo. Both parties described the meeting as "cordial and constructive," during which the main issues affecting the capital and the entire region were addressed.
Prefect Di Bari presented the governor with the Prefecture's most recent activities in areas of common interest, reiterating its full willingness to work collaboratively with the regional authority. "The region must grow together in a fair, sustainable, and balanced manner, leaving no one behind," Di Bari emphasized, emphasizing the importance of the concerted involvement of all institutions in addressing the most pressing challenges.
Fico, making his institutional debut after being proclaimed President of the Region, emphasized that collaboration with the Prefecture of Naples represents "an essential priority." The governor expressed confidence in the joint work with Di Bari to address "with determination and responsibility" the issues that directly affect citizens' lives, from social emergencies to security, from development to essential services.
"I thank the prefect for his commitment and dedication," added Fico, highlighting the need for a common approach between the Region and the Prefecture to ensure effective and timely responses to critical issues in the area.
This is a first step, therefore, toward an institutional era marked by cooperation, in a regional context that continues to require presence, listening, and shared action.

Dear prefect, you could have taken a sick day, you wouldn't have missed anything.
One is worth as much as the other

It's interesting that the two institutions met, but I hope there's real follow-through on these words. Sometimes promises aren't kept, and people need to see results. Collaboration is crucial.
