"It Happens in One Night" isn't just cinema: it's a mirror held up to the most ferocious contradictions of our era. At the center of the plot is Cornelia, an environmental influencer whose private and public life implodes in a single, fateful night.
After a heated televised confrontation, Cornelia takes an impulsive step: she releases her phone number. What begins as an act of rebellion turns into a nightmare fueled by constant threats, the emergence of family secrets, and the strained relationship with her daughter. The film starkly explores the burden of haters and online relationships, the fragility hidden behind media success, and the excruciating price of fame.
Excellent cast and technical team
The intensity of the story is entrusted to a powerful cast, including Rita Rusciano, Alessandra Persi, and Riccardo Leonetti. Making the experience even more evocative is the original soundtrack by maestro Fabio Liberatori, complemented by the tense and atmospheric music of Francesco Montanile.
The frenetic and pressing pace, awarded in Rome, is thanks to the editing by Jessica Beltramello, co-founder of Canova Production, who was able to "render the frenetic pace of social media and, at the same time, the profound vulnerability of human relationships."

I read the article and the film "It Happens in a Night" seems interesting. But I'm not sure if I'll go see it. The plot seems complex and there's too much criticism. Maybe I'll change my mind before the date.
