ARZANO – The escape of the juvenile gang that attacked a 25-year-old man from Casoria during the night while he was stopped in his car along Corso Salvatore d'Amato was short-lived. The young man, threatened with a gun and a taser, handed over the jewelry he was wearing and an e-cigarette, while the three attackers fled in a vehicle.
The victim's alarm raised with the Carabinieri at the Arzano station allowed them to intercept, a few hours later, the same vehicle described in the story. The car was parked in Piazza Marconi and was carrying four young people: three minors, aged 17, 17, and 16, and an 18-year-old, all residents of Arzano. During the search, one of them still had the stolen e-cigarette with him. The victim immediately identified them as the perpetrators of the attack.
Subsequent searches of their homes led to the discovery, in the apartment of one of the minors, of a pellet gun without a red cap, a discovery that added further evidence to the charges against the group.
The three minors were arrested and taken to the Naples First Reception Center in Colli Aminei. The 18-year-old was reported at large. Investigators are now investigating whether the gang may be involved in other robberies that have occurred in the same area in recent weeks.
