Ischia – A 50-year-old man of Ukrainian origin was found dead this morning in a hotel in the center of Ischia Porto. The local State Police have opened an investigation to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the incident.
According to initial reports, the 50-year-old had gone to the facility to meet with a fellow Italian, whom he had asked for help with a medical examination. During the conversation, the man was struck by a sudden illness, which resulted in his death. The victim, who had been homeless on the island for some time, was suffering from the after-effects of a serious leg wound.
Officers from the island's police station have conducted investigations and are interviewing witnesses to clarify the circumstances of the death. The body will be removed after the coroner's appointment, which will confirm the cause of death.
