The State Police's extraordinary checks ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug trafficking in the hinterland municipalities continue. On Saturday evening, officers from the Naples Police Headquarters Acerra They arrested a 19-year-old Egyptian, already known to the police, caught red-handed dealing in Via Alessandro Manzoni.
The young man, observed by police officers during a patrol, was spotted handing over a small package to another person in exchange for money. When officers intervened to stop him, he attempted to flee, but was caught and arrested after a brief struggle. Ten bags of hashish, one bag of marijuana, and €35 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing, were found in his pockets.
The 19-year-old was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics and resisting arrest. The incident is part of intensified enforcement efforts by the State Police to curb petty trafficking and ensure greater security in the peripheral areas of the Naples area.

While the arrests are significant, we must also consider that the root of the problem is deeper and requires broader solutions, not just repressive interventions on the ground.
It's interesting to see how the police are conducting checks, but there are still significant drug problems in these areas. I hope these operations yield positive results for community safety.
