Drug checks ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug dealing in the surrounding municipalities continue unabated. On Thursday afternoon, officers from the Acerra Police Station arrested an 18-year-old Egyptian man, already known to law enforcement, on charges of illegal possession of narcotics.
The young man was spotted on Corso Matteotti handing a small package to a man in exchange for money. Upon seeing the patrol, the buyer quickly walked away, while the 18-year-old attempted to slip into the crowd to avoid detection. However, officers caught up with him and apprehended him after a few meters.
During the search, the boy was found in possession of a package containing approximately 13 grams of hashish, another with cocaine and 20 euros in cash, divided into small denomination bills, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.

The young man was subsequently arrested and taken to the police station, pending judicial decisions. The operation is part of a broader prevention and control effort implemented by the State Police to curb drug trafficking in the municipalities of the Naples metropolitan area.
Interestingly, this is the second arrest of Egyptian drug dealers in two days in the province of Naples. Yesterday, another Egyptian drug dealer, who was also illegally present in Italy, was arrested by the Carabinieri in Naples' historic center.

It's a bit worrying that young people get into these kinds of situations, especially with drugs. We should do more to prevent these activities and help those in need. Society must unite.
