Afragola – The new criminal group of the Nobiles, better known as the "panzarottari," aimed to control the racketeering and drug trafficking in Afragola, taking advantage of the power vacuum by arresting and removing the historic Moccia bosses from the city.
And to do this, over the last few months he has not hesitated to impose his power with terror through attacks, ambushes, attacks and threats,
But as of yesterday, by order of the Naples DDA, 10 leaders and underlings of the new gang have been in prison awaiting validation of the preliminary investigations judge's confirmation.
The operation, by the Naples Flying Squad and the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Castello di Cisterna Group, aims to dismantle the organization, heir to old clans once linked to the Moccias, and which in the last month has shown unprecedented ferocity.
Among the prominent figures arrested, ranging from 53-year-old Giovanni Castiello to 18-year-old Nicola Bassolino, are several members of the Nobile family, considered the linchpin of the dominant group in the Sallicelle neighborhood. Specifically, Giuseppe Nobile, considered a high-profile figure, was also affected by the measure.
The raid also involved Domenico Tuccillo, son of the late "Colonel" Moccia, "Zì Sante", demonstrating a pact between "old" and "new" forces for control of the territory.
The three "stese" and the wounded of October
The investigation, coordinated by the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA), is focusing on the escalation of violence that marked last October: a full-blown street war waged through three "stese" (intimidating raids involving gunfire).
The first and bloodiest episode dates back to October 20th in Via Sportiglione, where an ambush left three people injured on the ground:
Nicola Bassolino (18 years old), already known for drug dealing;
Antonio Patriciello (28 years old), with a criminal record for smuggling;
Federico Moccia.

Investigators believe that the killers' primary target managed to escape, despite being hit by bullets fired at chest height.
The clan's response was swift. The area was immediately the scene of a spectacular double firefight. An armed commando first riddled the exterior wall of a low-rise house on Vico Murillo Fatigati with bullets, at least 40 fired from a Kalashnikov. Immediately afterward, they moved to Cinque Vie for a third attack, firing at the balcony of a house believed to be owned by a rival criminal on Via Diaz.
The criminal attack triggered an immediate response from law enforcement and the judiciary. Less than 30 days after the shootings, the DDA prosecutor concluded the preparatory investigations for the arrest warrants issued the other night. The swift action underscores the state's determination to nip in the bud the wave of violence that was destabilizing Afragola.
Among those arrested is Marco Castiello, 22, a rising figure who had already been targeted by the Flying Squad for the investigation into the murder of Pasquale Buono, confirming the transversal nature and dangerousness of the dismantled group.
