The Globe Soccer Awards are back in motion. Voting has officially begun, leading up to the December 28th ceremony in Dubai, where the best players in international football will be crowned. All eyes are on a list of nominees that mixes established champions, emerging talents, and key technical figures, while Paris Saint-Germain dominates the scene thanks to last season's European triumph.
Luis Enrique leads the field of highly anticipated candidates: the Spanish coach, fresh off a perfect season with Champions League, league, and French Cup wins, is in the running for Best Coach, while Luís Campos is aiming for Best Sporting Director. In the race for the Best Men's Club award, PSG once again stands out, accompanied by a field of eight players representing various categories, including Hakimi, Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Fabián Ruiz, Doué, and Donnarumma, currently at Manchester City.
Italian representation is not lacking: Antonio Conte and Maresca are among the potential best coaches of the year, while Donnarumma, Lautaro Martínez, and McTominay are among the players in contention for the individual title. In the women's category, Barcelona is looking to reassert its dominance with Aitana Bonmatí, the favorite for a third consecutive title. Among the Italian clubs, Inter, Napoli, and Juventus Women are holding out.
Alongside European football's leading lights, Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, Harry Kane, Salah, and Barcelona star Lamine Yamal are among the youngest contenders for the Best Player award. The 2025 edition also introduces a new award, the Best Mental Coach, with Italian Nicoletta Romanazzi among the nominees. Tommaso Bendoni, founder and CEO of the Globe Soccer Awards, emphasizes the importance of the event: for the sixteenth year, Dubai will become the center of world football and the stage on which to celebrate excellence, talent, and innovation.
