Aquara – A nighttime attack rocked the small town of Aquara, in the province of Salerno. An elderly resident was immobilized and robbed by three criminals who, after forcing open the front door with a burglary tool, entered the home just meters from the town center.
The incident occurred during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, leaving the community in a state of alarm.

The three thieves surprised the elderly man while he was sleeping, threatening him and immobilizing him in a room while they ransacked every corner of the house.

Once free, the elderly man managed to call for help and immediately reported the incident to the Carabinieri of the Aquara station, led by Marshal Pierpaolo Coppola. The municipal police and firefighters also responded to the scene, conducting surveys and collecting initial testimonies. Investigations are now underway to identify the perpetrators and reconstruct the events of the attack.
The incident has caused anguish in the local community, already troubled by similar incidents in recent months.
