Arzano - As part of a plan to monitor the Arzano area to identify polluters, local police officers, led by Colonel Biagio Chiariello, noticed a mechanical workshop on Via Vittorio Emanuele that was operating in violation of environmental regulations.
Two interventions were carried out, the first of which led to the owner being charged with failure to keep a waste register, illegal occupation of public land, and other fines of up to 16 euros.
During the operation, another car repair shop was identified, whose owner tried to escape but was stopped by the officers.
The second intervention concerns another mechanical workshop, operating in an area of approximately one thousand square metres, which was found to be illegal and was therefore seized.

Those responsible were charged with administrative violations amounting to approximately €5, as well as violations of the environmental and urban planning codes. They will now be held accountable for illegal waste management and abandonment, having inside a pile of hazardous and non-hazardous waste—including used oil, batteries, plastic, car engine parts, and more.
The perpetrator, already known to the police for previous seizures and reports, and therefore a repeat offender, was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples North.
