Atrani, Italy's smallest village, inaugurates its 2025 Christmas Lights today, November 29, 2025, as part of the "Atrani È Luce" project. The lights are scheduled to be switched on at 18:30 PM. The Municipality has invested in 14 new, state-of-the-art LED projectors, supported by the Monti Lattari Regional Park Authority, for high-quality lighting that reduces energy consumption and enhances the historic landscape.
Alleys, arches, squares, and seafront views will be transformed into a luminous nativity scene, attracting tourists from across the region and ushering in a calendar of events through January, rich in music, traditions, and community moments. At 7:00 PM, in the Church of San Salvatore de' Birecto, the Gospel Italian Singers will kick off their winter tour with special guest Prince Aka and conducted by Maestro Francesco Finizio, blending spirituality and rhythm.
Mayor Michele Siravo emphasizes: "The lighting is not merely symbolic, but a gesture that presents Atrani in its authentic essence, combining tradition, beauty, and sustainable innovation." The program also includes the photo and video contest "ATRANI È LUCE - Foto & Video Contest 2025," free for residents and visitors, to capture the magic of the illuminations.

The inauguration of the Christmas lights in Atrani seems like a great initiative, but I don't know if it will be enough to attract many tourists. The quality of the lighting and the scheduled events could be interesting, but more promotion is needed.
