A brutal ambush in the heart of the eastern suburbs of Naples. This is how Salvatore Borriello, 27, was killed. He was originally from Marcianise but had long been a resident of the Barra area. The killers caught him as he was walking along Via Suor Maria della Passione Beata: several shots were fired, and he fled amidst the chaos of the neighborhood.
Borriello, already known to law enforcement for property crimes and resisting arrest, was rescued and rushed to the Ospedale del Mare. He arrived at the emergency room in critical condition around 12:30 PM today, November 15th. Doctors attempted to revive him, but there was nothing they could do: he died a few minutes after being admitted to the hospital.

The previous ambush in 2021
Borriello's name was not new to investigators. In 2021, he had already escaped an ambush: on April 17 of that year, a commando of the Aprea clan He had opened fire on the street in the neighborhood, hitting a young woman with no criminal connection. The young woman, wounded in the foot and ankle while she was with her boyfriend, sustained injuries that were deemed to heal within 21 days.
Initially, it was assumed that it was a simple demonstration, but subsequent investigations led to a different conclusion: the real target of the commando, investigators maintain, was Borriello himself, then just 21 years old.
A few days later, Borriello was arrested along with 27-year-old Daniele Donadio for being in possession of drugs.
