Acerra - Law enforcement continues to crack down on drug trafficking in the province of Naples. Another devastating blow to organized crime has been dealt: the latest sting, orchestrated by the Naples Police Headquarters, led to the arrest of a man and the seizure of a staggering quantity of drugs, estimated to have fetched hundreds of thousands of euros on the black market.

The "pusher's" attic

The operation, the result of a series of extraordinary control services, saw the men of the Flying Squad and the Acerra Police Station, supported by an infallible canine unit from the General Prevention Office.

The first target was the home of a 34-year-old man from Acerra with no criminal record.

During a quick search, officers found a block of hashish weighing almost 100 grams and eight other packages ready for sale in the man's home, along with everything needed to package the doses. The 34-year-old was immediately arrested and charged with illegal possession of narcotics.

The hidden lair

But the real discovery, the one that skyrocketed the raid's toll, came shortly thereafter. Extending their search, the officers focused on a building on Via Madonnelle. In a hidden, unsuspecting common area within the condominium complex, the officers discovered a veritable drug storage facility.

The final haul was staggering: 15 blocks of hashish weighing approximately 1,6 kilograms. Approximately 860 grams of marijuana. Over 300 grams of pure cocaine. In addition to the narcotics, which exceeded the total threshold of 3 kilograms, precision scales and abundant packaging material were also seized, confirming that the area was used as a crucial supply hub for local drug dealers.

The State Police's work continues, with the stated goal of clearing drug dealing hotbeds and severing the umbilical cord between crime and the local community.
