Salerno– A car that looks like a veritable drug dealing operation. This is the image that emerged from the Carabinieri raid of the Salerno Operations Unit, which, at dawn this morning, led to the arrest of two brothers, caught with a large quantity of narcotics ready for sale.
The operation, triggered by an investigation coordinated by the Salerno Prosecutor's Office, saw officers swoop in on the two men, caught inside their car. The search left no doubt: the passenger compartment and vehicle contained an arsenal of drugs of all kinds.
The seizure numbers speak for themselves and paint a picture of criminal activity on a significant scale: 3,5 kilograms of hashish, a 200-gram batch of cocaine, and a 50-gram stash of crack, the horrific cocaine derivative that creates immediate and devastating addiction.
But it wasn't just the drugs that confirmed the destination of the goods.

The final twist, closing the loop on the illicit activity, was the discovery of €3.740 in cash, sums which – according to investigators – represent the proceeds of the sales, collected but not yet "laundered".
The two brothers were arrested on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. After the usual formalities, they were taken to the Salerno prison to await questioning and the preliminary investigations judge's decision.
The operation demonstrates, once again, the commitment of law enforcement to strike at the heart of the suppliers of petty street crime, removing from the circuit a quantity of drugs capable of satisfying hundreds of doses.

This news is very important for the Salerno community. It's incredible how some people think they can get away with dealing. I hope law enforcement continues to do its job well to put an end to this problem.
