Torre Annunziata - "We had to get revenge, but we didn't want to kill": this is more or less the gist of the justification given by the two child killers from Torre Annunziata who, on the night between Saturday and Sunday, killed 18-year-old worker Pasquale Nappo in Piazza Pace in Boscoreale, with no criminal record.
The two probably made an action that was not approved by their superiors, which is why they decided to present themselves at the Carabinieri headquarters in Torre Annunziata, accompanied by their lawyer, less than 24 hours after the murder.
The suspects are Antonio Bruzzese, 18, the scion of a family of convicted criminals from Torre Annunziata, and 23-year-old Giuseppe Esposito. Their account is being examined by investigators because several things don't add up. The 18-year-old is believed to have opened fire three times into the small group of people around the victim, who investigators believe was the true target of the attack.
His brother Antonio has been in prison since last summer after being arrested on a ferry to Sicily with a shipment of drugs.

The two boys, riding a scooter, apparently carried out their revenge mission against a group of their peers in response to an argument that had occurred about a week earlier. Their intention was not to kill, although in the end it was Nappo who died. The medical examinations and the autopsy, as well as any other witnesses, will further flesh out this initial reconstruction of the events.
Pasquale Nappo's mother: "My son was a good boy."
Pasquale Nappo's mother, in front of the cameras of the Campania news program, just as his father had done yesterday, continued to repeat: "I hope they talk, I think it was a fate." And besides, my son was a quiet boy, the sunshine of my home.
"I wonder what happened and I can't find an answer. I think it was a mistake, a fatality that had nothing to do with my son," she continues. "When the cases of Francesco Pio Maimone and Santo Romano happened, I felt terrible. I never thought something like this could happen to me."

It's very sad that things like this happen in our society. I don't understand how two young men like this could commit such violent acts. I hope justice is served to prevent this from happening again.
