Pisa – Francesco Corbelli, 37, originally from Castellammare di Stabia and a long-time resident of Santa Maria a Monte, in the province of Pisa, was tracked down and arrested by the Carabinieri in the Pisa area.
The man, believed to belong to the Cesarano Camorra clan, was transferred to Pisa prison where he will serve a remaining sentence of 3 years, 8 months, and 6 days.
Corbelli was the subject of a prison warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Appeal of Naples. The conviction concerns serious organized crime offenses: mafia-type conspiracy involving the use of weapons, committed between 2020 and 2023 in the Castellammare di Stabia and Pompeii areas, and complicity in extortion, which occurred in July 2021, also in Castellammare di Stabia.
According to investigators, the 37-year-old was a member of the Cesarano clan, which, during those years, allegedly extorted merchants and businessmen in the Stabia area, demanding money and pressuring them to gain control of their territory and businesses. The clan, long under scrutiny by anti-mafia authorities, is considered one of the groups historically rooted in the Vesuvian area.

Corbelli, who was a resident of Santa Maria a Monte, was located and arrested by the Carabinieri after specific monitoring and control activities in the area.
The man is now at the disposal of the judicial authorities and will have to serve the remaining sentence established by the executive order issued in Naples in prison.
