A major operation by the Rome and Frosinone GICO (Italian Criminal Investigative Committee) has led to the precautionary seizure of assets worth over €25 million. The target is Arturo Salvatore Di Caprio, a businessman from Cassino considered "socially dangerous" by the Prosecutor's Office and believed to be close to the Camorra's top brass.

The man, already known to the judicial press, had woven a dense web of interests over the years, ranging from drug trafficking to fraudulent bankruptcy, including sophisticated international money laundering schemes.

The investigation, coordinated by the Cassino prosecutor, reconstructed DiCaprio's criminal history. In 2018, he was arrested in the "Black Knight" operation, an investigation that revealed his ties to the La Torre clan.

After a period on the run, he was arrested again in 2022. He was convicted of bankruptcy and drug trafficking, but investigators believe this was just the tip of the iceberg.

The real business, the finance police claim, revolved around two criminal organizations specializing in tax crimes. Their modus operandi included aggravated fraud, including against the state, money laundering and self-laundering of illicit assets, as well as systematic fraudulent bankruptcies. All this while accumulating wealth disproportionate to his declared income, concealing the proceeds in a galaxy of corporate and financial networks.

The seized assets reveal the entrepreneur's lifestyle and economic power:

Current accounts in Italian and foreign banks

A plot of land in Piedimonte San Germano

37 companies operating in various sectors

6 high-end luxury cars

The operation marks a new blow to organized crime in southern Lazio, demonstrating how old Camorra alliances have found fertile ground in the contracts and concrete of the province of Frosinone.
