Capodrise – They had no escape. Their criminal activity, conducted with an almost "entrepreneurial" approach from an apartment in Capodrise, was thwarted by the joint action of the Carabinieri. Those arrested, by order of the judicial authorities, were a 22-year-old homeless Albanian man and a 19-year-old Neapolitan man, caught with a veritable arsenal of drugs.
The operation, which began in the last few hours, is the result of a plan that lasted for days.

The final confirmation came with the arrest of a suspected customer, caught red-handed immediately after making a purchase. This act provided the green light for the raid on the hideout. During the house search, the Carabinieri discovered the drug dealing headquarters: 43 grams of crack, already sorted and ready for sale, 8 grams of hashish, and €150 in cash, the likely proceeds of the illicit activity.
But the more technical findings revealed the professionalism of the crime: cutting agent, four precision scales, and everything needed to package the doses. A fully functioning laboratory, dismantled before it could release more drugs onto the streets. At the end of the operations, the two young dealers were transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison to await trial. A devastating blow to a drug trafficking ring that had come to consider the Capodrise area its own hub.

It's a bit incredible how people still think of doing drug deals, especially in a place like Capodrise. The law needs to be tougher, but it's also important to educate young people about the real risks of crime.
