The network of checks deployed by the Caserta Flying Squad led to a massive seizure along the streets of Capua, where an Albanian citizen residing in the province was arrested after being caught behind the wheel of a car transformed into a veritable drug smuggling vehicle.
Investigators, engaged in an investigation into suspicious movements related to drug trafficking, had gathered information about a dark-colored car used to transport large quantities of drugs. When the car was intercepted and stopped, a search of the trunk dispelled any doubts: inside were five kilos of hashish and the same amount of marijuana, a load likely destined for local distribution.
The man, already known for previous property crimes, was arrested red-handed and taken to prison, where he awaits a validation hearing while the investigation continues to identify the network for which the shipment was intended.
