A hidden workshop on the grounds of Carinola, in the Torello area, transformed into a veritable clandestine explosives laboratory. This is what the members of the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza in Caserta discovered after a targeted investigative effort involving shadowing, observation, and cross-checking information.
The intervention, supported by the bomb disposal experts of the Police of the State of Naples, has allowed the identification and securing of an illegal factory equipped for the complete manufacture of pyrotechnic materials, from explosive compounds to finished products.
Inside the facility, a statement from the Guardia di Finanza reports, there were explosive powders, processing tools, packaging machinery, and a significant quantity of pyrotechnic items in various stages of production.
Investigators describe the material as "highly explosive," particularly unstable and dangerous to handle and transport, likely destined for the black market without any security checks. This posed a huge risk not only for the buyers, but for anyone near the facility.

Aniello Turnacco, nephew of the "A' Manomozza" boss, has been released from prison.
The operations led to the seizure of approximately 10.500 fireworks, including homemade fireworks and finished products, as well as machinery, tools, and raw materials. The laboratory manager was reported to the judicial authorities for the illegal manufacture and possession of explosives, crimes that rank among the most serious in the public safety sphere.
This massive seizure comes just weeks before the Christmas holidays, a period when illegal firecracker production explodes—it's fair to say—and poses a concrete threat to public safety every year.
