Casavatore – The meeting took place yesterday in the council chamber in Piazza G. Nocera. Besides marking a day of remembrance for the many victims of femicide, it also expressed awareness and shared commitment.
The event, promoted by the heads of the Social Policy Office of the Municipality of Casavatore, Drs. Alessia Maccioni and Angela Molino, saw the participation of Rosa Rocco, daughter of Lucia Caiazza, a victim of femicide.
Mayor Fabrizio Celaj, Councilor for Social Policies Vincenza Esposito, Deputy Mayor Dr. Elsa Picaro, and School Principal Nicola Romeo and Dr. Evelina Megale attended.
During the testimonies and numerous reflections, Dr. Annunziata Buonaurio, representatives of the Ambito18 "Women, Life and Freedom" CAV, spoke. Dr. Raffaella Scurti, coordinator of the Ambito18 Family Center, and Dr. Christian Sanna, sociologist and educator, also participated.
"Casavatore experienced an intense and significant moment on the occasion of the initiative promoted by the Social Policies Office of the Municipality of Casavatore against Violence against Women," specified Mayor Celaj.
An event that successfully combined emotion, reflection, and great civic participation. Special thanks go to Rosa Rocco, Lucia Caiazza's daughter, for her profound, sincere, and humane testimony. Her words touched everyone's hearts and serve as a powerful warning against all forms of violence.

Thanks to all the speakers, the workers at the Anti-Violence Center, the social workers, and especially the tireless Social Policy Office of the Municipality of Casavatore for their great organizational work and constant commitment to supporting women.
Let's continue to build a more aware, more united, and more just community. Casavatore says NO to violence, always." Present in the room were the commander of the local Carabinieri station, Marco Puledda, the commander of the local police, Francesco Perrella, and the parish priest, Don Simone Buonocore. Also in attendance were city councilors, including Giuseppe Marco De Rosa, Maria Marino, Giovanni Russo, and Prime Minister Alessandro Sorrentino.
