Caserta – An unmissable opportunity for culture lovers: on Sunday, December 7, the Royal Palace of Caserta is participating in the Ministry of Culture's "Sunday at the Museum" initiative, offering free admission to the Vanvitelli Complex. The Royal Apartments and Royal Park are open to the public, while some areas, such as the Vanvitelli Rooms, the Amelio Room, the Court Theater, the Grand Gallery, the English Garden, and the Graefer Greenhouses, will remain closed.
To better manage crowds and reduce waiting times, tickets will be available both online on the TicketOne platform starting Monday, December 1st, until sold out, with a limit of five tickets per account to prevent ticket touting, and on-site at the ticket office in Piazza Carlo di Borbone, starting at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event.
Access will be granted during pre-established time slots, with entry strictly permitted only during the time indicated on the ticket, even if only for access to the Royal Park. Visitors must arrive at the central gate in Piazza Carlo di Borbone or the one on Corso Giannone without waiting in advance. ReggiaCard2025 holders may enter without reservation through the gate on Corso Giannone.
At the entrance, you will need to show the ticket barcode, either in paper or digital format, and once you exit, you will not be able to re-enter because the ticket will be cancelled.

Two separate lines will facilitate flow management: one for visitors with the "Park Only (excluding the English Garden)" ticket and one for those with the "Park + Apartments" ticket. For the latter, there will be a set route: those entering between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. will first visit the Royal Apartments and then the Park, while from 12:30 p.m. until closing time, the reverse order will apply. During certain time slots, it may be necessary to wait in line in the Upper Vestibule to access the Apartments.
Opening hours for the day will be as follows: Royal Apartments from 8:30 am to 7:15 pm (last entry at 6:15 pm), Queen's Apartments from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Palatine Chapel from 8:30 am to 6:15 pm (last entry at 6:10 pm), and Royal Park from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (last entry at 2:30 pm), with the English Garden closed.
Food service will be available at the café in the Telescope, the kiosk, and the "Diana e Atteone" restaurant near the fountain at the end of the Waterway in the Royal Park. Bike, shuttle, and golf cart rentals will be available to facilitate travel within the park. Finally, the bookshops in the Royal Palace and in the Graefer Greenhouses will also be open.
The main recommendation is to plan your visit carefully, using online booking to guarantee entry and respecting the time slots, so you can fully enjoy a cultural experience in the majestic Royal Palace of Caserta without any inconvenience and in maximum comfort.

It's a wonderful opportunity to visit the Royal Palace of Caserta, but I wonder if there will be enough tickets for everyone. Let's hope there aren't too many people waiting in line, as always happens at these events; that would be a shame.
