Santa Maria Capua Vetere - Carabinieri from the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Company have intensified checks in the area, also involving Grazzanise and San Prisco, in collaboration with the Caserta Labor Inspectorate (NIL) and Enel technical personnel.
The operation, part of a broader plan to prevent and combat environmental and workplace safety violations, led to seven reports at large, the seizure of weapons and burglary tools, and numerous administrative sanctions.
Construction sites under scrutiny
In Grazzanise, the military inspected a construction site along provincial road 147, finding serious safety deficiencies: unauthorized modifications to scaffolding and a lack of safety guardrails. Two managers of companies operating on the site were reported, and fines totaling approximately €3.000 were imposed. The intervention aims to ensure compliance with safety regulations and prevent workplace accidents.
Countering predatory crimes
Also in Grazzanise, during a roadside check, the Carabinieri reported two men for unauthorized possession of altered keys and lock picks, found on board a car.

Theft of electricity
In San Prisco, a couple was charged with aggravated electricity theft. During an inspection of their home, an illegal connection to the Enel grid was discovered, allowing them to fraudulently draw electricity. Enel restored the regular supply and assessed the damages.
The Judicial Authority has been informed of all the confirmed facts. The Carabinieri have announced that checks will continue in the coming days, with the aim of ensuring compliance with safety regulations and combating predatory crimes in the area.

The article mentions checks, but perhaps the measures that will be taken aren't clear enough. I hope the Carabinieri continue with these interventions to improve overall safety, even if there's still criticism.
