The criminal activity of a woman accused of being responsible for a series of aggravated thefts and the improper use of payment instruments has ended. The Carabinieri of the local station executed a precautionary measure—house arrest with the requirement to wear an electronic bracelet—issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The measure is the result of a complex investigative effort coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted jointly by the Carabinieri Stations of Santa Maria Capua Vetere and Caserta.

The investigation, which took place between July and October 2025, allowed the woman's actions to be reconstructed, identifying her as the perpetrator of five separate wallet thefts. The unaware victims were customers of various businesses in the cities of Santa Maria Capua Vetere and Caserta.
The identification, although still in a preliminary phase of the investigation, was possible thanks to the meticulous analysis of the images extracted from the video surveillance systems of the commercial activities and subsequent documentary checks.
Not content with the cash haul, the suspect was also involved in the fraudulent use of credit and debit cards found inside the stolen wallets. She quickly made purchases totaling nearly €1.000,00, further aggravating her charges of counterfeiting and unauthorized use of payment instruments.
