Violence among young people is becoming increasingly alarming in Ercolano, in the province of Naples, where a quiet square has become the scene of a savage beating. An eleven-year-old was the victim of a vicious attack by a 14-year-old peer, encouraged by none other than his own father, who allegedly shouted encouragement while his son punched and threatened.

The incident occurred on the evening of November 15th in the city center, in Piazza Trieste, a place supposedly a symbol of recreation and socializing for teenagers. The young attacker, urged by his parent, violently struck the victim, causing serious injuries certified by the Santobono Hospital report: a partial avulsion of a canine tooth in the lower jaw and multiple bruises, which required immediate treatment.

The mother of the injured child didn't hesitate to react: she filed a complaint with the local Carabinieri station, attaching all medical documents and involving her lawyer. "This isn't the first time that father and his son have sown terror," the woman said in a trembling voice, expressing outrage and fear for the safety of the community. "I really want these people to be stopped, to protect my son and everyone else."

The news quickly reached MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli of the Green Left Alliance, alerted by the victim's mother. "This is an unprecedentedly serious incident," Borrelli thundered, denouncing not only the brutality of the attack but, above all, the toxic role of adults. "Instead of teaching respect and legality, this father incited his son to violence, violating every civil and criminal law. We cannot allow juvenile bullying to be fueled by negative examples from adults: it's a contagion that destroys the future of our children."

Borrelli has already activated institutional channels to closely monitor the complaint, offering full support to the family and pressing for swift action by law enforcement and the judiciary. "I call on the authorities to act swiftly and with absolute rigor," the MP continued. "These individuals represent a danger to the public: they must receive a clear signal that impunity is over. We must protect our young people not only from bullying, but from a culture of violence that comes from above."

While the Ercolano community holds its breath awaiting developments, Borrelli has renewed his commitment to combating child violence and widespread lawlessness, monitoring the situation vigorously. Cases like this are not isolated: it's time to break the cycle of a phenomenon that threatens all childhoods, before it's too late.
